After lunch, we watched "The Phantom of the Opera". I'm a big fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber works, and this one was my "die die must see" movies of the year. So I dragged my friend to watch this... it turns out she love this movie too.
This romantic musical epic is about a mysterious masked figure, Erik, who roams the undergrounds of 19th century Paris, centering his activity around (or under) the Opera Populaire, where he tutors a beautiful young soprano, Christine, who goes on to upstage the city's most famous opera singer, Carlotta. The Phantom thinks he's found love, until Christine's childhood boyfriend, Vicomte de Chagny shows up.
It is a visually stunning movie - the costuming and sets are as extravagant and lavish as the music. The music was amazing, I can't help to sing along the movie since I know most all the song. I can't wait to see it again and again and again..... :)
