Sate Lilit Warung Satria
Posted by jenz on 11:38 AM
After sate plecing, SC insisted that we should visit Warung Satria. So he dragged me over 500m there. Since we're very full after Candra & Sate Plecing, we only ordered 3 sticks of sate lilit, a type of Balinese satay made from minced meat --usually fish meat, but chicken and beef can also be used-- mixed with grated coconut, thick coconut milk, lemon juice, shallots, and pepper. The mixture is then wound around bamboo sticks and grilled on charcoal. For SC, Warung Satria's sate lilit is still the best sate lilit he had ever tasted. :)
