Tan & Tan

From Marmalade, we went to Pancious. After that, while strolling around Miniapolis area, I noticed a restaurant called Tan Tan that puts a non halal sign in front of the restaurant. It grabbed my attention and I couldn't resist going inside. The restaurant is decorated in red with fancy styling. It was lovely, but I was sceptical that this place can serve authentic Chinese cuisines. It looked more like a place for parents to hang out while waiting for their kids to finish playing.

So I ordered a portion of Nasi Campur 42.5K and es cau 16.875K, and promising SC that I would ask for a doggy bag if we couldn't finish the meal. Turned out I was wrong. The dish was delicious and the food was styled attractively. And more importantly, the crispy pork and satay were excellent. The es campur was also delicious although a tad too sweet for my taste. :)

Wah, sounds like it's worth a try. I'm taking a few friends for some Indonesian culinary experience and I am looking for inspiration for restaurants. Instead of finding in magazines (which are usually paid advertisements) I decided I'd look in your blog for an honest customer review. ;) Good decision for my side, I'd say. :-P

hehehe.. sorry, baru ketemu bon-nya, harganya sekitar 40rb an.. tapi worthed lah kalo diliat dari porsinya. & jangan dibandingin sama nasi campur kenanga / nasi campur di daerah kota. Ini lumayan enak sih... tapi kayanya ngga seotentik nasi campur2 di daerah kota/mabes :)

menurut g makanannya kurang banget.
emang sih gak bisa dibandingin dengan nasi campur kenanga atau suisen, tapi ini kualitasnya jauh dari enak.
pas g ke sono, pesen nasi campur. satenya habis jadi diganti sama ngohiong. taunya ngohiong-nya dingin kaya abis dari kulkas. babi merahnya juga keras dan rada amis.
cuma menang di tempat aja, sorry to say...
