Ah Tuan Ee's

ah tuan ee
The first thing that grab my attention from this place is its interior. Decorated in Malay's kampong house style, using bird cage as their hanging lamp, plus the servant dressed in sarong and kebaya makes this place quite catchy. Located at Pacific Place, served malaysian nyonya cuisine. such as nasi lemak, asam laksa, char kuay teow etc. we decided to order the asam laksa 35.5K, kuay teow 28.5K with teh tarik 13.5K and honey lime 17.5K. Actually the food was not bad, but not really suit my taste. the asam laksa's concoction was too thick compared to what I had at Penang. but the taste was OK though. the kuay teow was too sweet and a bit too oily, the teh tarik was good, but my honey lime turn out to be kum quat juice. :)

Medical Check Up
Posted by jeny at 5:24 PM

Penang is famous because of its food heaven :) but they also famous for their medical facilities, there is some big hospital here such as Island Hospital, Gleneagles, Adventist, Loh Guan Lye. This morning, I force my mom to had a complete medical check up at heart and valve centre at Adventist Hospital Penang and then headed to Gleneagles Hospital for Eye Check Up. We had lunch at the backside of Gleneagles Hospital.. not bad actually with a selection of delicious homecooking and very cheap price too :)

After that we bought "Beh Teh Sor" Biscuit and the walk back to adventis hospital through the gurney drive hehehehe very interesting because the street was packed with restaurants & cafes at one side and sea shore on the other side. That night we visited Keh Lok Sie temple. at night the place was surrounded by light, very beautiful scenery. after that we headed back to gurney drive again for dinner, that night I tried fried "Lok Lok", "Char Kwey Teaw", "Chee Ceong Fun" and drink "Mata Kucing" ice ... Selamat Makan:)

A day at Kuala Lumpur
Posted by jeny at 5:17 PM

We arrived at Kuala Lumpur at dawn, lucky for us our hotel was right in front of the Puduraya Bus Station so we don't have to take taxi :P But the hotel won't check us in until 7AM, so we wandered around the hotel and found a small coffee shop nearby the hotel that still open, so we sit there eating "Nasi Lemak" and drinking Tea :)

After checked in and take a nap, we are ready to explore this town. So we walked through the street try to found a bus to KLCC. At last we found it after asking several times for direction, its bus no 28 from KutaRaya to KLCC. At KLCC after take a few picture in front of the Petronas Tower, we headed to Suria KLCC's food court for lunch. There is two food court available there, one serving the international cuisine and the other on serving Asian Delight Cuisine. We choose the Asian delight food court, after wandered around looking of the food selection we ordered "Mamak Nasi Kandar", Wonton Noodle, and "Ganthari Rice" (some of the food name misspell :P). Not very special but the "Nasi Kandar" was very tasty hehehe :)

Gurney Drive @ Penang Island
Posted by jeny at 4:57 PM

Last week I had a short trip with my Mom to Malaysia. Our first stop was at Penang Island where we order a bus ticket to Kuala Lumpur. While in Penang we visited Gurney Plaza and had lunch there. My Mom ordered a "Yong Tofu" with TomYam Soup while I wandered around the food stall, at first I want to try the duck rice but it is out of order, so I ordered Plum Chicken Rice. The tasted was not very special, I can't wait to goto Gurney drive at night where they had much much more food selection. :)

That afternoon we went to Gurney Drive for dinner... there is alot of food selection there for us to choose :) That night we ordered Laksa and Ais Kacang. After that I tried some Lok Lok mmmmm ... yummy and bought some Sweet corn for our trip tonight. :)
